Resonance tuning effect using nanoparticle cluster configuration in the infrared regime

摘要

In this report, we investigated numerically the clusters of Silica Nitrid (Si_3N_4) nanoparticles of different configurations. By calculating the transmission spectra of light that impinges on the structure, the clusters show different responses to the electromagnetic wave. Resonant dips and peaks were analyzed based on electromagnetic scattering and the equivalent circuit model of the structure. We show that by alternating the configuration of the clusters, the resonance dips and peaks of structure can be adjusted to the desired value. This tunability of field resonance nanocluster may give rise to a variety of interesting applications for nonlinear or plasmonic sensor devices.
