Guest editorial on vehicular communications and applications

摘要

As Vehicular Networks technology enters a critical phase in applications, researchers worldwide are focusing on the practical aspects, thereby significant technological hurdles are analyzed in order to realize the message transmission with short time delay, high reliability and protected security over V2V channels. The communication among the vehicles and the distributed road side nodes is the key issue in Vehicular Networks. The conventional problems, such as sensor detection and ad hoc network, become more challenging because of the communication nodes' uncertainty in terms of mobility and location. This special issue selects eight excellent papers in addressing the above-mentioned problems. The solutions are found in the following papers.
