摘要

The interaction and reaction of CH_4 and mixture of CH_4 and O_2 with pure oxides of CaO, La_2O_3, SrO, La_2O_3/CaO(LC) and SrO-la_2O_3/CaO (SLC) catalysts were studied by in situ FT-IR. When CH_4 is introduced over the catalysts in the absence of gas phase oxygen, it reacts with surface lattice oxygen to form carbonate species. Neither CH_4 nor O_2 adspecies were detected on these catalyst surfaces at room and high temperatures.
