Language and Ethnicity

摘要

This book departs from the familiar discussion of language and cultural identity at the community level, and delves into a rather microscopic examination of individual speech behaviour. The main message is that ethnicity is complex, dynamic and multilayered, therefore defying the simple definitions we often encounter in texts in the area.
