Grandes et petites langues: pour une didactique du plurilinguisme et du pluriculturalisme

This book contains two dozen short chapters dealing with language policies, language and culture, and processes of teaching and learning. Its general aim is to explore a new and broader language didactics from an international perspective, avoiding the older model of one country one language - one culture. The simple dichotomy of grandes and petites languages is challenged, especially where the former have often acted as models for the latter. Of central interest here are the diffusion and circulation of languages, and national and international identity.
