The dielectric properties of the common alkali metal and alkali earth carbonates were measured as a function of temperature using a cavity perturbation apparatus. The results were compared and trends and differences noted. Some trends could be linked to the nature of the cation while Other differences could be seen to be related to behavior Individual to the compound.
