STUDY OF THE ORIGIN OF THE MAXIMUM-LIKELIHOOD METHOD

摘要

In the last few years, some interesting works on the topic of the precedents and origins of the maximum-likelihood estimation method and the likelihood function have been published. With this work, we are looking for, unlike other studies, a different approximation. Furthermore, we want to highlight contributions which, traditionally, have not been taken into account in this subject.
