FUNCTIONAL A POSTERIORI ESTIMATES FOR MAXWELL'S EQUATION

The note is concerned with functional type a posteriori estimates of the difference between exact and approximate solutions of the Maxwell problem curl μ~(-1) curl u + x~2u = j in Ω, ν x u = 0 on approx deriv Ω. The estimates are derived by transformations of the basic integral identity defining a generalized solution to the problem by using the method suggested by the author. The estimates are obtained in the case x > 0 and x = 0.
