Optimality of Rectilinear Motions in the Problem of a Tractor with n Trailers

It is shown that optimal singular regimes of the first order in a problem of the type indicated in the title are not exhausted by singular motions. For the singular trajectories of the first order corresponding to rectilinear motions, it is proved that a part of an arbitrary length yields the Pontryagin minimum.
