ON ESTIMATION OF STUDENT DISTRIBUTION CENTER WITH A SMALL NUMBER OF DEGREES OF FREEDOM

摘要

In the paper, the asymptotic properties of the estimators for the Student distribution center are studied. Main attention is paid to the case of a small number of degrees of freedom. M-estimators and maximum likelihood estimators are considered. Estimation procedures for fractional stable distributions are also discussed.
