摘要

We are pleased to respond to the comment on our earlier investigation [1] on the photoluminescence properties of Eu~(3+)-doped quaternary pyrochlore oxide, Ca(RE)_(1-x)(M)NbO_7 (RE=Y, Gd; M=Ti, Sn). The commentator made a point that there is a size-induced structural phase transition from a fluorite to pyrochlore-type structure in the nanocrystalline CaYTiNbO_7:Eu~(3+) system prepared through a citrate gel route. Although we recognize the insightful point of the comment on the structural transformation in the above said system, however, we put forward the following views to elicit more clarity on the above comment.
