摘要

NiFe_2O_4 nanoparticles were prepared by a simple and cost-effective method using nickel nitrate, ferric nitrate, acetone and citric acid using oleic acid assisted sol-gel auto-combustion method. XRD confirmed the formation of single-phase nickel ferrite with space group Fd3m and inverse spinel structure and the crystallite size was found to be 28 nm. HR-SEM and TEM images showed spherical like nanoparticles. The magnetic property of the sample was measured by using a room temperature vibrating sample magnetometer. The magnetic saturation (M_s = 47.8 emu g~(-1)), remanent magnetization (M_r = 10 emu g~(-1)) and coercive force (H_c = 237.10 Oe), were determined.
