摘要

Worldwide map production increased exponentially during the Second World War. This essay is concerned with what happened to those maps after the war. Undertaking a case study exploring the development of the University of Florida Library's collection of maps emphasizes the importance of government depository programs (particularly the Army Map Service Depository program) in instigating and perpetuating the dissemination of cartographic materials.
