The 2010 ASME Conference on Smart Materials, Adaptive Structures and Intelligent Systems (SMASIS) was held on September 28-October 1, 2010, in Philadelphia. As in the previous two years, the conference provided a unique forum for the sharing and dissemination of leading research in adaptive structures, intelligent systems, and structural health monitoring (SHM). Participants enjoyed the distinctive atmosphere of the historic city of Philadelphia, as well as a special conference event in the National Constitutional Center.
