Foreword: Special Issue on Vehicular Wireless Networks and Vehicular Intelligent Transportation Systems

摘要

With the rapid development of wireless technologies, the Vehicular Wireless Networks (V-Winet) and Vehicular Intelligent Transportation Systems (V-ITS) have recently received much attention. V-Winet and V-ITS aim to ensure traffic safety for drivers, provide comfort for passengers, and reduce transportation time for vehicles on the roads. This special issue is a collection of outstanding papers devoted to the state-of-the-art in V-Winet and V-ITS communications, networking, and applications. Papers were submitted from open calls. Each paper was rigorously reviewed by at least three reviewers. Overall, 13 of 45 papers were recommended to be included in the special issue.
