Software Publication Track (SPT)

摘要

Computer scientists have been conducting research projects and obtaining results that they have subsequently published in research papers and computer software. Of the two, the research paper is the more familiar format of publication and has been generally regarded as a fair measure of productivity. On the other hand, the impact of many well-known projects is best felt through the software produced. For example, Linux, X Window, Latex and Mosaic are all popular and practical software projects that have made monumental contributions not only to computer science but also human society.
