摘要

Production control with manpower allocation for parallel CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machines in a workstation has been rebellious and critical to operations research. This study not only proposes the PCMA, Production Control with Manpower Allocation, model mathematically undergoing the conception of balancing machine productivity and human ability, but also develops the heuristic algorithm in optimizing the combinatorial problem to maximize the production profit of a deterministic order. Besides, to offer the applicability of the PCMA model, a computerized decision tool written in VISUAL BASIC is comprehensively organized in efficiently achieving the optimal solution of production control and manpower allocation. Additionally, the adaptability of PCMA model is practiced through a numerical study. This paper surely contributes the appropriate tool for production control and manpower allocation, as well as provides the precious solution to decisively optimize the profit of a deterministic order in a machining workstation with profound insight.
