New Findings from Graduate School Describe Advances in Materials Engineering

2011 DEC 14 - (VerticalNews.com) — According to the authors of a study from Beijing, People's Republic of China, "A series of Yb3+ and Lu3+ co-doped SiAlON ceramics with different Al content were hot pressing sintered using same process. The phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the sintered samples were studied to find the tailoring effects of composition variation on mechanical properties of SiAlON."
