Pioneer Corp. has launched the X-HD1 hard disc digital jukebox. The product is tailored to take full advantage of recent advances in technologies, such as those allowing music distribution over the Internet. The X-HD1 features good sound quality in combination with functions that make the product easy to use. The X-HD1 includes a CD player and a hard disc that can record and reproduce the equivalent of 100 60-minute CDs. The product also has a MagicGate Memory Stick slot. Furthermore, the X-HD1 adopt the OpenMG technology to safeguard copyrights and prevent illegal copying. Music recorded on a MagicGate Memory Stick by the X-HD1 can be reproduced by Pioneer's Carrozzeria DEH-P999HDD car stereo and by other equipment compatible with the MagicGate Memory Stick.
