2003 Will Be a Pivotal Year for Wireless LAN and Bluetooth

As the next generation technology, wireless LAN (IEEE802.11b/a/g) and Bluetooth have attracted quite a bit of attention. For electronic component manufacturers wireless markets are important areas for business expansion as they develop new components and devices and expand product lineups. Bluetooth has yet to become popular. But it will likely get a major boost when the European GMS cellular phone market takes off later this year. Demand for the wireless LAN also is increasing. New products development is expanding and marketing is becoming active for modules and antennas that comply with wireless LAN standards, including the next generation high-speed wireless LAN IEEE802.11ah, gIEEE802.11g and 2.4 and 5 GHz dual bands.
