Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. in 2004 will stress projectors that are lighter, more compact and come with convenient wireless functions, according to Noriyuki Mabuchi, Director, Projector Business Unit, System Business Group, Panasonic AVC Networks Company of Matsushita. The company in April introduced a mobile LCD projector, the PT-LB10NT, the first in the world to support wireless connections to up to four PCs simultaneously. It features an A4 size compact body and is popularly priced although the wireless transmission function is standard. Using a wireless load dispersion technology independently developed by Matsushita, the projector has the ability to display and operate the four PC screens simultaneously through a function called "Multi Live Mode." This means that one can conduct presentations from each PC without having to change PCs, or even mess around with cabling. The wireless standard 802.11b is used, and AES encryption is supported.
