Screens, Optical Discs, Mobile Phones Dazzle Visitors to CEATEC

Blu-ray Disc (BD) players, HD DVD players, multifunctional mobile phones and plenty of large high-definition (HD) screens were among the products crowding Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan, at CEATEC Japan 2006. About 200,000 visitors came to the trade show, which used the theme of "Digital Convergence-Changing Society, Lifestyles and Business." The comprehensive exhibition of advanced information technology and electronics took place from October 3 to 7.
