The success of Secure Digital (SD) Memory Cards and increasing demand for portable data storage products with greater capacities have led to the development of standards for SD Memory Card Version 2.0, also known as SD High Capacity (SDHC) Memory Cards. These will have a capacity range of 2GB to 32GB and were defined as a result of discussions and standards-setting activities by the SD Card Association (SDA) in May.
