Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. posted increases in group sales and profits in the first quarter of the fiscal year ending in March 2008. Driving the robust performance of the group is Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc., which handles multifunctional peripherals (MFPs) and printers. Akio Kitani, President of Konica Minolta Business Technologies, says, "Color MFPs and the production printing business have been the driving force. We will push further the 'genre top' strategy both in Japan and abroad."
