Starting in mid-August, Denon Brand Co. began introducing seven new models of audio-video (A/V) surround amplifiers. These models incorporate features that enable enhanced network expandability. Not only do they feature advanced functions as surround amplifiers, but they also enable users to make use of many kinds of content in various environments, all with high-quality images and high-quality sound. Denon will promote these A/V surround amplifiers as A/V centers that form the central part of networked home entertainment systems, which are expected to come into widespread use. Hirofumi Ichikawa, President of Denon Brand Co., says, "With the appearance of new content and formats, people's lifestyles in enjoying audio have diversified." Even so, audio products, just as before, are still for enjoying content. Amid the ongoing shift to digital technology and networking, these audio products are positioned to express all kinds of content with high-quality sound and high-quality images, he says.
