Teac Corporation has introduced Super Audio CD Transport P-05, which retails about ¥630,000 (US$5,478), and the D-05 stereo digital-to-analog converter (DAC), which costs also around ¥630,000 (US$5,478). The turntable of the employs the company's proprietary VRDS-NEO that maintains high precision reading, minimizes disc vibration during high-speed rotation and produces less noise. The D-05 makes use of the delta sigma DAC device, which has 32-bit arithmetic processing capacity made by Asahi Kasei EMD Corporation. On top of high processing digital unit, Teac employed a technique enhancing the analog unit in order to realize high sound quality. The D-05 has a dual mono structure specification where circuits in both left and right are exactly configured in the same path and is equipped with two units of power transformers for left and right channels.
