Manufacturers of broadcasting equipment for the Chinese market are starting to look past the upcoming Beijing Olympics in 2008. Until recently, preparations for staging the Olympics in China for the first time has consumed the interest of the industry. However, while demand related to the Olympics will continue, the focus of the industry seems to be shifting as evidence by the 16th Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Equipment Exhibition (BIRTV 2007), where the main theme among exhibitors was "How to picture the market after the Beijing Olympics."
