Global shipments of copiers and multi-functional printers (MFPs) from Japanese manufacturers have topped ¥1 trillion for the first time. Meanwhile, the shift to color digital MFPs, which began in Japan, is gaining force overseas as well. The trend will likely speed up further both in and outside Japan.rnIn the Japan, demand will grow for linking digital MFPs, which provide printing, copying and other functions, with companies' business activities and mission-critical systems and for helping companies exercise better internal controls, such as those required to comply with Japanese legislation related to corporate accounting and accountability.
