Amid the rise of new production bases and shifts in the global economy, Rohm Electronics GmbH (Europe) is reaffirming its roots as a semiconductor innovator. Starting January 1, 2009, the company will change the color, text style and wording of its brand logo to a white-on-red font that spells out "Rohm Semiconductor." Within days of the company's 50th anniversary on Sept. 17, 2008, Rohm was showcasing its technologies and starting to introduce its new brand logo at CEATEC Japan 2008. The event, which took place Oct. 1 to 4 at Makuhari Messe, is one of the leading trade shows for electronics manufacturers.
