Popularity of 'Elite', 'Kuro' Sets Spurs Pioneer's TV Sales

Pioneer is making steady headway in the TV market with sales of its Kuro A/V products. This year, the company intends to introduce additional plasma display products within the Kuro lineup. Management also will apply a similar concept to front-projector TVs, and to new LCD TVs for Europe, as it works to expand the range of Kuro audio-video (A/V) products. As a sales strategy, Pioneer works mainly through specialty store channels and with chain stores with which Pioneer has well-established relationships, where it is relatively easy to make customers understand the distinctive features of Pioneer products. Since 2007, the company has improved its collaborative relationships with certain companies in the distribution channel. Now it aims to expand sales by proposals that take advantage of the product range available mainly to this segment of the distribution channel.
