Sharp Corp. has commenced new models of polycrystalline photovoltaic modules for home use for FY2008. Five models were released, including the ND-191AV, a peaked-roof/flat-roof model that achieves one of the industry's highest module conversion efficiency of 14.4 percent, and features a roof installation capacity of about 1.5 times greater than the conventional models thanks to its enhanced wind pressure resistance. The other models include the ND-160AV, the ND-114CV, the ND-061LV and the ND-061RV. As these models can also be applied to small roofs in urban areas, Sharp will promote them as strategic models to speed up the adoption of photovoltaic generation systems.
