Renesas Builds New Navigation Platform on Multiple-Core Chips

Semiconductors of today's car navigation systems require the employment of state-of-the-art technologies to achieve multiple, complete functions. These include the multimedia function of car navigation systems, the external communication function, and the driving support function. Applied multiple-core technology, which incorporates a multitude of central processing units (CPUs), is particularly being developed in order to execute several advanced processing capabilities with low power consumption.
