Pioneer Counts On Subsidiary TAD Labs To Lead Audio Revival

Pioneer Corp. has established a subsidiary, Technical Audio Devices Laboratories Inc. (TAD Labs), for Pioneer's high-end audio business. At A&V Festa 2008, which took place in Japan from February 23 to 25, TAD Labs exhibited products under its own name to promote its name as a distinctive brand separate from the Pioneer brand. At the event, TAD Labs auditioned a monaural amplifier, which it unveiled at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2008) in Las Vegas, the United States, and other products. Starting out as a specialty manufacturer of speakers, Pioneer is celebrating its 70th year in business this year.
