IC Industry Braces for Recovery, Rise of New Technologies

Organized by the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), Semicon Taiwan 2009 took place from September 30 to October 2 at the Taipei World Trade Center amid the lingering impact of the global economic crisis. SEMI member-companies composed of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, flat panel display (FPD) manufacturing equipment, and materials manufacturers have endured the severe business condition, brought about by the reduced investments in equipment and production by semiconductor and LCD panel manufacturers.
