摘要

The energy conversion efficiency of organic thin-film solar cells, now from 5 to 6 percent, is likely to exceed 10 percent in two or three years. These improvements will emerge alongside the development of flexible, low-cost, and lightweight sheet-type organic thin-film solar cells. These sheet-type solar cells do not require a heavy structure, such as a frame, for installation. They can be simply affixed on a roof, wall, or window. Therefore, their widespread use can be expected based on a paradigm that is completely different from that of conventional silicon-type solar cells.
