The ITU Association of Japan Inc. (ITU-AJ) has, since its establishment on September 1,1971, worked towards harmonious relations between Japan and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).rnThe ITU deals with a telecommunications environment that is no longer dominated by the conventional telephone, but is now made up of technologies related to the Internet, broadband, mobile phones and wireless communications, which have spawned remarkable trends, such as the transition from analog to digital, the convergence of fixed and mobile technologies, and the convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting.
