The GSMA Mobile World Congress 2009, which is one of the world's largest exhibitions of mobile phones, related products, and technologies, took place from Feb. 16 to 19 in Barcelona, Spain. Despite the global economic crisis that is hitting most markets today, manufacturers took part in the annual exhibition and displayed their respective innovative technologies.rnIn particular, advanced high-speed mobile communication technologies, including Long Term Evolution (LTE), were given emphasis during the show. Many high-functional terminals that accommodate large-capacity and next-generation content, such as high-definition (HD) video, were also on show.
