Various kinds of photovoltaic (PV) systems are available in the market nowadays. PV manufacturers around the world, based on their own business strategies, are working to commercialize, and to indulge in research and development of one of the several kinds of these systems. Roughly speaking, PV systems that use monocrystalline or polycrystalline silicon have achieved high energy conversion efficiency, but are very expensive. In line with this, the said systems are suitable for installation on the rooftops of residential buildings because the available area is strictly limited and the high cost could be overlooked somehow.
