Study Aims for Cheaper, More Efficient Crystalline Si Cells

Crystalline silicon solar cells are solar cells manufactured using monocrys-talline or polycrystalline silicon. These cells have several advantages over other solar cells. First, thanks to a long history of research and development, they have already achieved a high level of photoelectric conversion efficiency. Second, they are highly reliable. Third, they contain no toxic substances, making them especially safe and benign to the environment. Fourth, abundant resources are available for manufacturing these cells.
