Ulvac, Inc. has developed and introduced a new charging system that combines a photovoltaic power generation facility with a rapid charging facility for electric vehicles.rnThe new combination charging system consists of thin-film photovoltaic cells, power conditioners, rapid chargers, normal chargers, and power generation control monitors using wireless communication. Plans call for the first system to be installed at the municipal parking lot in Chigasaki City, Japan, and to start operation in March.
