Canon Inc. has accumulated expertise and respect in the imaging technology field and has applied leading-edge optical technologies in its photographic and office devices. It has also maintained a strong and unique position in the projector business with emphasis on high image quality, one of Canon's key strengths. Canon's projector portfolio includes the REALiS Series, which uses Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) panels to provide a combination of high quality image display and superior brightness not previously possible. In addition, Canon's range of LCD projectors, known as the LV Series, address various customer needs at reasonable prices, while still maintaining high image quality and ideal functionality. Fig. 1 illustrates Canon's entire projector lineup for this year.
