Sharp Embarks on Major Solar Power Project in U.S.

Sharp Electronics Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Japan's Sharp Corporation, has commenced the operation of Avenal Photovoltaic Solar Power Facility in the Kings County in California. This facility is where the company develops thin-film solar modules and solar light emitting diode (LED) panel lights, the use of which in the United States is already in progress and on full scale. Huge Scope Avenal consists of three adjacent solar energy projects located on agricultural land near the city of Avenal. Eurus Energy, a global renewable energy development company, developed the Avenal Solar Power Facility.
