Undoubtedly, there are "birders" in the JTWC audience, and to my knowledge in this issue we include our first visual rhetorical study of the ornithological field-a fascinating analysis of the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker story and the role that is played by visual evidence as proof of anything. Professor Winn digs deeply into the subject and reaches conclusions that are applicable to each of-birder or not.
