Questioning Library Neutrality: Essays from Progressive Librarian

Technical communicators have more in common with librarians and other information professionals than our job titles let on. While some employers refer to technical communicators as "information architects" or "information designers," as a rule, professional training of librarians and professional training of technical communicators remains distinct. Yet, both professionals may be responsible for usability studies, database design, and user interfaces with information technology. There is ground for commerce between the fields.
