Paying Attention to Our Important Issues

This issue of JELIS includes four research articles and one brief communication. Taken together, these articles all help us remember the need to focus on issues important to our discipline, our academic practice, and the LIS profession. Whether it's focusing on tough issues, paying attention to changes in the academic landscape, or making sure we accommodate perspectives from other disciplines in our research, these five papers play an important role in reminding us to re-direct our attention where it matters most.
