This issue of JELIS (54:4) includes five research articles and is the final issue of JELIS to be edited by Michelle M. Kazmer and Kathleen Burnett. In this, our last editors' introduction, we first introduce the five papers in this issue and conclude with our farewells. In the first article in this issue, Catherine L. Smith and Martha I. Roseberry present "a descriptive model of the subject matter taught in courses on expert search in ALA-accredited programs." Their study included a content analysis of course descriptions and syllabi, and the model was validated via a review of search instruction literature. Their findings have implications for search education pedagogy and for our understanding of the development of search expertise.
