Bulk periodic poled lithium niobate crystals doped with Er and Yb

摘要

Periodic poled lithium niobate crystals have been prepared by the Czochralski technqiue using a non-symmetricla temperature field. Er and Yb ions have been added to the melt in different concentratins and its effect on the formaiton of the perioical strucutes has been studied. The periodicla domain strucutres re improved foir dopant concentrations lower than the solubility limit. The formaiton of the periodical domain srucutres is related with the dopant segregation coefficent vlaue and with the temperature gradient in the interface.
