Transient kinetics of the runaway nucleation

The kinetics of the runaway nucleation (Nishikoa and Maksimov, J. Crystal Growth, 163 1996) 1) is studied. The kasymptotically exact self-similar description of the transient nucleation kinetics is compared with the results of direct numerical solution of the kinetic equation. The analytical estimates are found to be in good agreement with the numerical data.
