Most traditional construction contracts doc- ument the purchase of a product in the form of a constructed facility. But construction is about service as well as products. More and more, project delivery system are recognizing the dual aspects of a construction project and spec- ifying behaviors as well as an end product. The practic of "partnering," for example, specifi- cally addresses how project partners will be- have in the pursuit of a common goal. I believe that the changes to our project de- Livery systems are essentially the recognition Of the behavior aspects of the contracts that tie Us together.
