Estimation of the Position and Velocity of an Aircraft Using the Method of Exponential Smoothing of the Results of Flight Path Measurements

The problem of processing the flight path of an aircraft using the method of exponential smoothing is investigated. A particular feature of the method is that constraints on the frequency spectrum of the process are taken into account. This ensures that high-frequency noise with unknown characteristics is filtered out. The computational simplicity and the recurrent nature of the solution obtained enable it to be used efficiently in real-time systems.
